I am Jo – the Collections Database Manager. I started out in the Curatorial department, and was surprised that I enjoyed working with the CMS as much as I do.
My work covers the nuts and bolts of collections information. This includes ensuring that the information and related media are accessible and usable for all museum staff and visitors.
At present, I am auditing and reporting on the transcripts for oral histories and AV content – which requires some big-view thinking about the system, as well as working closely with other departmental representatives to increase our access media.

Smell, Visual
I am partially blind, and therefore require larger monitor screens and assistive technologies (e.g. screen reader) on my work devices.
Less likely to need it, but I messed up my sense of smell from a hockey injury as a child, so I can’t smell things very strongly!
