Temperature
Holding the paper target, after it has been used within a shooting event.
The target would be ephemeral - used briefly within the event, and quickly replaced by another.
This item is a target used in shooting events. The middle of the paper square has a hole ripped through, denoting a successful shot on the target (a bulls eye). The ammunition used in the event (bullet? Unsure of terminology) would have ripped through the paper with force, creating heat on the paper square. To use Google's explanation - "(The shot) generates heat because the kinetic energy of the moving bullet is converted into heat energy upon impact, due to the friction and deformation that occurs when the bullet strikes the target material, even though the paper is not as dense as a metal target, it still absorbs some of the bullet's energy as heat." The edges of the bullet hole do not seem charged, likely as any burnt element quickly flaked away. This implies the heat caused on impact was very sudden, but also short lasting and concentrated. The paper otherwise is room temperature.
Touch

The paper is slightly course, and feels old - like it has dried. The edges of the bullet hole are jagged and uneven, but not difficult to the touch. The text and printing are flush to the paper, and do not have any specific texture.
