<div class="evocative-info-item"> This arrowhead is of a design that takes huge skill to make, and is, to my mind, very attractive visually. While the design had practical implications (as detailed under nociception), the fact that it was found as a grave good suggests that perhaps at the time it was admired similarly. The form may have been solely dictated by function, but I wonder if the extra effectiveness was worth the extra effort on its own. That it has been selected for deposit in this reverential context suggests to me that part of the design may simply have been the joy of an attractive object, and of a difficult thing done well. </div>
