Interoception

Context

A sport event, the athlete lining the up their shot during a competition.

Temporality

Short - the event does not last long, and the shot happens instantly once the trigger is pulled. The moment between taking aim and firing may feel quick, or like an eon has passed.

Physical

I can image the athlete nerves in this moment - knots in stomach, tensing of muscles or shoulders, and overload of sensory information from the crowd and other sources. Perhaps they are sweating, or can feel their heart beat fast. Alternately, they may be calm and collected - and not experience physical symptoms of stress or intensity.

Emotional

<div class="evocative-info-item"> The emotional response to the result denoted by the object - a bullseye - must have been joyful for the athlete. I can imagine the release of tension from their mind and body. Their anxiety would have been replaced by excitement, pleasure and accomplishment. It may also have slipped into pride or ego. </div>
